GrantPlant has invested circa Ģ20m since 2000 and continue to invest heavily in leading edge plant.

Our wide range of plant is suitable for the construction and maintenance of mainline, light and freight railways.

GrantPlant has in its fleet the most modern, high performance, leading edge technology tamping machines, and high output crane fleet in the UK, together with other specific modern equipment to meet today's rail infrastructure demands.  The fleet provides the maximum levels of reliability and availability ensuring customer confidence.

Our fleet of equipment includes:

  • Three Matisa B45 Tampers and five Matisa B41 Tampers (one fitted with PALAS), and two Matisa R24S Ballast Regulators, all of which are in service.
  • One Kirow 1200 crane with 125 tonne lifting capacity, one Kirow 810 crane with 100 tonne lifting capacity, and two Kirow 250 cranes with 25 tonne lifting capacity, panel handling beams and hydraulically operated loose sleeper lifting beam
  • Four Colmar Road/Rail Vehicles (RRVīs)
  • Two Beaver Inside Possession Only Tamping Machines
  • Mobile Flash Butt Welders
  • Gauge Corner Restoration Welding Machine
  • Sky High - Mobile Elevated Working Platform (MEWP)
  • Full range of small plant and equipment

All of our plant is provided with operator/maintainers who have undergone comprehensive operational training ensuring full compliance with all HSQE and safe systems of work requirements.
